How To Get Started With Content Marketing

Getting Started

Before we set up the lights and cameras, we want to get to know your team so that we can select an appropriate membership tier.

1. Discovery Call

The first step is a 50-minute discovery call to get to know each other. Maybe we're even on this call right now. We talk about your business, brand, and how content can provide value. We'll use this information to make a recommendation on an ideal content marketing plan.

2. Initial Pulse Meeting

To create content that aligns with your company vision, business goals, and aesthetics, it's essential that we take time to talk about your overall business strategy. The better the marketing team understands where the ship is going, the better we are able to contribute marketing strategy ideas.

Some businesses create content to generate awareness, some create to build authority, and some create to build company culture. We're looking to develop a unique strategy for your business.

This is a 90-minute discussion. The meeting can take place at either the Launch Kit office or your office.

3. Account Access Workshop

A 1-hour Google Meet call with your social media manager to provide access to all necessary social media platforms. If accounts do not already exist, we will set them up for you.

Your business will be active on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube and Google My Business.

Launch Kit's Process For Digital Content Marketing

The Monthly Routine

Each month, your marketing team will work with you to plan, create, edit, and deliver content that drives your business forward.

1. Pulse Meeting

We begin each month by looking back at the analytics from our efforts last month. From the data, we are able to make strategic decisions about the road ahead. We use this time to reconvene on business goals and content pillars.

This meeting is 50-minutes and takes place via Google Meet.

2. Production Days

On production days, we join your team at the shoot location to create photo/video content. We go into the day with a solid game plan to ensure the productive and efficient capture of content.

Our standard goal is to create 5 Shorts and a batch of photos during each production day.

Production days can take place anywhere in the greater Grand Rapids area. At the office, at an event, at a job site, etc. Travel outside of 30 miles from the Launch Kit office will be billed at 65 cents per mile.

Production days take place Monday - Friday during standard 9:00 am to 5:00 pm business hours.

Production can be up to 3 active hours of on-site shoot content.

3. Content Editing

After a production day, we fuel up on good coffee (usually Nespresso or Madcap) and dive into editing.

4. Social Media Management

Your dedicated Social Media Manager runs your company account on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and Google. This includes active community engagement, weekly content posting, inbox management, and analytics.

5. Paid Ads Management

Your Paid Ads Manager is responsible for setting up, running, and analyzing your paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Amazon.

Launch Kit provides our members with professional social media management. We create content with you, edit it, send it your way for approval, and then handle posting and user engagement.

We run your company account on Google, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube. This includes active community engagement and routine posting.

Can we combine videos to make a longer video?

Yes. You can combine your short videos to make longer videos for YouTube.

How long does editing take?

Photos are delivered in 2-3 business days, short videos are delivered in 2-3 business days, medium videos are delivered in 3-5 business days, and long videos are delivered in 4-6 business days.

Why is it limited to Grand Rapids?

Our team is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It's important to us that we are able to meet with your company in person for planning workshops and production days.

Where can photo/video content be shot?

We travel anywhere within a 30-mile radius of the Launch Kit office at 89 Ionia Ave NW, Grand Rapids MI, 49503. Additional miles traveled will be billed extra at 65 cents per mile.

Who creates our content?

All content is created and edited by our in-house local team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The Launch Kit studio is in downtown Grand Rapids on Ionia Avenue.

How does the collaborative workspace work?

When setting up your membership, we invite your team members to your own dedicated List on ClickUp. This is where we communicate, brainstorm, and share files. No need for long email threads.

Are there any long term contracts?

Nope. Your company is welcome to cancel at any time. You remain the owner of all past content created during your membership. Our goal is to create a healthy, long-term partnership that deeply understands your business and its goals.

Can a production day be on the weekend?

Launch Kit is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, we do not schedule production days on the weekends. We take that time to recharge our batteries so that we're ready to go next week.

What time of day can a production day be?

Launch Kit is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, we schedule production days during this time frame.

Who owns the media that is created?

The client owns the media. Launch Kit will manage the storage of the media. Launch Kit is not responsible for the permanent storage of raw media. Raw files are kept temporarily on local storage. Final edits are kept in Google Drive. If a member wishes to receives a copy of a raw file, Launch Kit can upload that file to Google Drive.

Does unused deliverables and production time roll over?

Unused deliverables and production time do not roll over to the following month.

How many hours is a Half Day Production?

A half-day production can be up to 3 hours of active on-site shooting of content. This gives us time to account for prepping gear and travel.
