616 Metal Works is a custom metal fabrication company based in Middleville, Michigan. Founded by Kurt Vandeweert, the business started as a way to express his love for welding and share his unique skillset with the community around him. Today, 616 Metal Works partners with general contractors, developers, and direct clients to deliver fully custom metal fabrication, finishing, and installation services.
Imagine you’re at a friend’s house and notice a one-of-a-kind, beautifully welded staircase railing — unlike anything you've ever seen before. That’s the kind of work Kurt is known for.
616 Metal Works first connected with Launch Kit in 2025 to create a printed brochure that could serve as a company overview and leave-behind piece for in-person client meetings. With the business now set up on our system, we’re ready to support Kurt with all of his marketing needs — digital and print.
Launch Kit’s first project with 616 Metal Works was the design of a tri-fold brochure — a clean, professional piece to showcase the company’s capabilities and unique craftsmanship. We started with a brand-forward company overview that highlights 616 Metal Works’ services, processes, and contact information. Everything a prospective customer needs to feel confident reaching out about their next project.
Launch Kit graphic designer Emily Van Til led the creative direction for the brochure. Starting with a blank canvas, written copy from Kurt, and authentic images of his custom metalwork, Emily designed a tri-fold brochure that reflects the originality and craftsmanship that 616 Metal Works brings to each project.
We built the file to VistaPrint specs so Kurt can easily print as many brochures as he needs anytime he needs them.
This project kicked off a working relationship with Kurt and 616 Metal Works. The brochure turned out great — and more importantly, Kurt now has a polished, on-brand marketing piece that represents the quality of his work. The Launch Kit team is fully set up and available for anything Kurt needs next, whether that’s photo/video content, digital ads, or ongoing graphic design.
