The only thing Zoe forgot to mention is that they make some of the best cookies we've ever tasted, and they are right here in Hudsonville, Michigan.
Launch Kit first teamed up with Stir It Up Bakery in 2023 to build them a refined Identity System. They had an existing logo but knew it didn't accurately reflect their business. Zoe and Molly shared their backstory with us, and we were immediately excited to be on board.
What's Included
Stylescape & Logo
After our Identity Exploration conversation, Launch Kit Designer Michigan Bova crafted the Stir It Up Stylescape. This was a 56" panoramic board that conveyed a feeling of identity. Nothing was set in stone at this point; we were just gauging where everyone's head was at. We printed the Stylescape, shared it with the team, and gathered feedback, which allowed us to move on to the logo design phase.
What's Included
After finalizing the new logo, it was time to put it to work. The next phase of this project was packaging design. Launch Kit was hired to create a box design and a sticker design for their cookie bags. We used their new logo, colors, and fonts for the first time.
Michael had a few cups of coffee and began to think through design systems. When creating packaging, it's important to consider how the design will change as the product changes, in this case, flavors of cookies.
What We've Done
With the brand identity elements in place, we moved into the rollout phase. The timing of this project was key. Stir It Up had just completed their new brand identity and remodeled their bakery space to include a walk-up ordering window. We paired these two elements together to create a grand re-opening ribbon-cutting ceremony. See video here.
The week before filming the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Launch Kit team visited the bakery for a full production day. We captured footage of the team baking, taking orders, and customers using the new walk-up window. During this time, we took photos and videos. Towards the end of the day, we set up lights and tripods and sat down with Zoe Bruyn to capture her founding story. We used this combination of a-roll and b-roll to create a full-length brand overview video that does justice to sharing Stir It Up's story. See video here.
We've had such a good time working with Zoe and Molly on Stir It Up's projects. Launch Kit is incredibly proud to be a part of their mission. We look forward to future projects with the Stir It Up team.
