Visiting Launch Kit’s downtown Grand Rapids office? We’ve got all your parking questions answered—find the best spots, how to pay, and nearby coffee and lunch spots to make your trip smooth and easy.
If you're coming downtown to the Launch Kit office for a workshop, strategy session, or just to chat, you might be wondering, "Where do I park?" We get it—downtown parking can be tricky. But don’t worry! We’ve got you covered.
Our office is right in the heart of downtown at 89 Ionia Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
As you approach our office, you’ll notice that Ionia Ave NW is a one-way street. You’ll come around a left-hand curve in the road, with the Morton apartments on your left and the Kent County Prosecutor's Office on your right. Just after you pass those landmarks, look to your left for a, matte black building exterior with white decals in the windows—that’s us!
Your best bet is to snag one of the metered spots on Ionia Ave NW. These spots are right in front of the office, and if you’re lucky enough to find one open, take it! It’s the most convenient place to park, putting you just a few steps from our door.
If you don’t see an open spot by the time you reach the traffic light that’s parallel with our office, don’t sweat it. After you go through the light , turn left into the Pearl Ionia Garage. This garage is where many of our team members park, and it’s only a short walk back to the office.
Street parking in Grand Rapids is all handled through the MOTU app. If you don’t already have it, this is the perfect time to download and set it up—it’s super user-friendly and will save you time every time you visit downtown. You can store your license plate and payment info, making future parking payments a breeze.
When parking on Ionia Ave NW, you’ll want to make sure to check the blue parking zone sign near your spot to confirm the zone number for your MOTU payment. This app works throughout the downtown area, so if you’re planning to explore Grand Rapids after your visit, you’ll already be set!
If you end up parking in the Pearl Ionia Garage, the process is old-school simple. You’ll get a parking card when you pull in, and you’ll use that card to pay when you exit. Easy as that.
Grand Rapids doesn’t mess around with parking enforcement. Even if you’re only planning to pop in for a few minutes, always pay for your parking. The ticket isn’t worth the risk.
1. Are there restrooms at the Launch Kit office?
Absolutely. We’ve got restrooms available for all of our clients when you visit.
2. Can I pay for street parking any way other than the MOTU app?
Yes, you can. There are parking toll machines nearby where you can enter your plate and payment info. However, they can be a bit cumbersome, so we strongly recommend the MOTU app for convenience.
3. How long can I park on the street?
Street parking on Ionia Ave NW is limited to 2 hours. If you use the MOTU app, you’ll get a notification when your time is running out, so you can easily add more time if needed.
4. Which entrance should I use when visiting the Launch Kit office?
We recommend using the matte black door on Ionia Ave NW. Look for the white Launch Kit stickers in the windows to make sure you’re in the right place.
If you’ve got some time before or after your meeting, we highly recommend grabbing a bite or a coffee at some of our favorite local spots:
Just around the corner on Monroe Ave, Madcap Coffee is a must-visit. They’re nationally known for their top-notch coffee, and the atmosphere is perfect for a quick break or even a casual business chat. It’s our go-to for quality brews.
Parking downtown doesn’t have to be a hassle. Whether you’re grabbing a metered spot on Ionia Ave NW or parking in the Pearl Ionia Garage, you’ll find that visiting the Launch Kit office is a smooth and straightforward experience. With this guide, you’re set to navigate downtown Grand Rapids parking like a pro.
We can’t wait to see you at the office. If you have any other questions before your visit, don’t hesitate to reach out. Safe travels!
